Carmona in Need

I have a Carmona that recently began to lose all its leaves. The tree was quite healthy before with lots of new growth and flowers. I water it regularly, keep it in a sunny place and put it outside when the weather permits (in a shady area) so I don't understand what's going on. I scratched the bark and it is still green underneath, so I know it's not dead. I was fertilizing, but have stopped since it began losing leaves. I haven't noticed any bugs or pests in the tree. I also don't see signs of new growth.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Is is normal for this kind of tree to lose its leaves? If it's helpful I can send a digital photo of the tree before and after.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

Yes, by all means, post a photo if you haven't already. There were a few Fukien Tea threads recenly. Maybe your tree is one of those?

Regards,

Matt
