Unhappy Brown Spots?

I have little brown spots on my ficus leaves (not the little white ones that people say are supposed to be there) and it seems to be spreading even though I remove them as soon as they show up. Is it spider mites?
I looked this up on a few boards and no one really comes right out and says what they are, unless I'm missing something.

Do you have pictures? What part of the world are you in? What kind of growing conditions?

2 pics posted.. circled some of the spots in the 2nd pic.

I'm in Ohio.. They're indoor trees, but I have decent ventilation and humidity.

Is it spider mites? Because I think there might be mites on some of my plants. I hear thats very common for indoor trees and plan on purchasing some insecticide.

I wouldn't worry unless

a) they seem to be moving
or
b) they appear all over and spread rapidly

often leaves simply have blemishes, and a brown spot is not trouble unless a) or )b) apply, usually

Give it a few days outside in open shade for ventilation and recovery. You'll be amazed what a little fresh air can do. Indoors the bugs have nowhere to go. The ventilation and humidity may be acceptable for people, but it's probably on the arid and stuffy side for plants.

Regards,

Matt
