Bougainvillea dying

It's getting pretty cold out here in New Jersey, so my I moved in my bouganvillea which used to be outdoors. It was flowering before I moved it inside (there is not a lot of light where i keep it) and now that it is inside, most of the leaves have fallen off and I do not know what to do. I know that if I don't do anything, my bouganvillea will die... I do not want that to happen. Please help out.

Well dude,
Sometimes I wish mine would die, just kidding. Here where I live I can keep them outside all year. Since they are a tropical plant, they will go dorment in a cold climate like new Jersey. I thought everything grew in the garden state. Anyway do not let it dry completely out and the shock from coming in from outside no doubt caused the leaf loss. They grow like weeds here in so. ca., so thats what I think is going on.
Maybe some one who lives in a cold climate and has grown a bougy can help you even more.

Good luck

Peace
Bob

It's probably just gone dormant. Mine spend all winter with no leaves... Or flowers for that matter. Just keep it from freezing and don't overwater it, and all will be well.

On the other hand, f the leaves look like boiled spinach, it already froze.

Regards,
Matt
