Unhappy Barbecued Jade

ok well i have a dwarf jade (elephant bush) and have had it for a couple weeks now. they sit on this small brick wall where if you turn the grill on all the hot air shoots toward my bonsai. yesterday my dad had the grill on (cooking steak) and the heat just fried my jade. . well now the leaves are pretty brown and black. should i trim them off or just leave em' on to cure? and should i keep it in the shade or what
anybody please help. thank you. (will have deadly pictures soon)

dead leaves don't come back. You should remove them.

You might also want to think about a safer place to keep your tree.

That there is what we call "an opportunity for major restyling."

I'd take off the burnt leaves but leave the branches unless they are hopelessly shrivelled. If the branches are OK it may rebud there.

And don't keep it on the BBQ anymore.

It's a jade.

I would keep treating it like nothing happened, do not baby it. Oh and move the darn plants for crying out loud, once is usually enough to teach a lesson unless of course, you want them all to look like your avatar, in which case, try gasoline for starting the grill next time.

I was thinking about where you keep your bonsai and came up with the perfect tree for you.
