Question Can anyone help save my bonsai

I was given a bonsai tree (chinese elm) for christmas and the soil was left to dry out recently, there are only a few shoots left and the leaves are almost dead. Can anyone tell me how and if I can save it?

Becca, you need to post this question in the "Dying Bonsai" section. Also please let us know where you are keeping the tree, (inside or out, in sun or shade, etc.) and where you live.

Elms are pretty tough, so maybe someone can help you there.
