I went into another building and came across these "gnome style" tridents. I hope the prices show up on the pots. Incredible!!

In that same building I came across more of the tridents in the 3" to 4" trunk size. These were even better than the first bunch.

After looking at about 200 of these tridents, I decided to give you a close up of one that I rather took a fancy to.

In fact, I liked it so much that I decided to take this puppy home.

3 1/2 inches across at the base, and 19" tall. $140.00, cheap! (shades of MAD magazine).

I plan on popping this thing in a grow box tomarrow to develope the top and branches. I will post some pics of the roots and the nebari. It looks pretty good from what I can see so far on the soil top just by moving the soil aside.

I bought one other tree which I will post in another thread with some other things I bought at the bonsai-a-thon.

I have more pics , but I presume you are bored by now. I blew my budget here by about 75.00 bucks after I bought some wire that was too good to pass up.

I have some great pics of the bonsai-a-thon and the demo's and trees on display. See ya tomarrow, with more stuff from SoCal.

Regards, Bonsai-al

Oh yeah, Al. Bored? I'm bored like a fox in a henhouse.

It looks like you found amazing place.

Great pictures Al. The trees are a bit too pricey though.

That was a great deal Al for that trident. I love those fat tridents. Look forward to seeing more post of all the other stuff you went to see.

Looks like a fun trip. Most of those trees would be beyond my YEARLY bonsai budget!
