Mid-Atlantic Bonsai Convention

April 11- 13Special EventMid-Atlantic Bonsai Convention

This year's Spring Festival marks MidAtlantic Bonsai Societies' (MABS) Twenty-Fifth Anniversary! The Spring Festival will commence Friday evening, April 11, 2008 and will continue through Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2008, at the Hudson Valley Resort & Spa in Kerhonkson, NY.

A program of renowned International and American professional Bonsai artists will perform lecture/demonstrations, workshops, and critiques of Bonsai on display which are provided by MABS member clubs. In addition, Bonsai vendors will be on-site offering a large selection of Bonsai, Bonsai related plants, containers, tools, books, and other supplies for purchase. To open the 2008 Spring Festival and to welcome all registrants, complimentary beverages and snacks will be offered on Friday evening, beginning at 6:30 p.m. until about midnight

More Details can be found at www.MidAtlanticBonsai.Freeservers.com

Any questions not answered by the site I will try to help out.

As of last weekend there were spots open for all the artists workshops.

For those who can make it, this is a super get together. Before I moved to Vermont, I went to several Mid-Atlantics, Enjoyed everyone. I went as a day visitor, going home each evening. I think the location is probably a plus. The vendor area is top draw!

Just my 2 cents
Jay

PS If I was in the area that weekend I'd make it my business to get there.

Keep an eye out for the tool set raffle, a large stainless steel Mikasuni(sp?) set, tickets are inexpensive, and a win will set you with good tools for every occasion, probably for life.

G'day Mac...

In your Mid-Atlantic announcement, under Artist's Information, Mike Hagedorn is refered to as "...a potter, Mr. Graham...". I'm sure that both Mike and Mr. Graham would appreciate a correction.

Have a good Festival...

Pat

THE ONLY WAY: Always remember, and don't ever forget, that whatever you read here is not cast in concrete... the intent of any advice is to help. In no way should you feel that I’m saying that my way is the only way…heaven forbid! I've seen far too much of the "my way or the highway" attitude in bonsai as well as in other areas of life.
