Women! Those he likes, and they seem to reeealy enjoy him too. And man can he do bonsai. Good looks, gift of gab, traveling the world, and paid to do bonsai demos, the kids got the world by a shoestring.

He likes room to work, a good turntable to work from, does some sketching, and has pictures and an email list to pass around for sign ups. Clean you station as you work, he likes it neat.

Stock wise he has been around, not sure of favs but he knew the N E Bonsai gardens junipers we used, inside out, he did say the U.S. wasn't as fortunate as the Europeans as far as quality of nursery materials available.

Wire, wire and wire, and practice before hand, he likes them to be WELL wired, and will have you fix goofs. Be ready to go all the way out to new shoots with wire, so have all the sizes available as well.

Esentially bring the works, he might do anything, he is a serious artist.

ENJOYS Japanese food.

Sing up early everyone he does a great job, and those seats will fill quickly

Well I hope that everyone is reading and listening to the last bit... SIGN UP EARLY! haha

Is he a copper or alum guy. I have both, but it dont hurt to have plenty of extra of the ones he will be using for the demo tree. I am submitting to him several trees for his pick for a demo tree. Then I can get it ready for him if need be. When we had Craig Coussins in he said the same thing, Boy i wish this tree was already wired... whew! haha

Great thoughts... I will pass them on to the ones signing up! Maybe make this thread maditory reading!

ps... I will get the girls there to be assistants! that should make him (and them) happy! who am i kidding... would me

JC,
He uses both, depends on tree and what is appropriate. If you are doing Junipers, pines, etc. Have all of the copper sizes (6-22) and be ready for fine/show type wring.

We have had Marco out the last two years and he is an excellent teacher and guest.

Make sure that you have work surfaces that are adjustable in height, allowing him to work the appropriate height.

Have fun,
John

Better have some excellent Italian espresso or capuccino on hand. I'm not kidding

I personally can't wait... So much planning between now and then, but it will all be fun in the end.

Good thought on the height. I dont have an adjustable turntable now, because of the area i have to work on always seems to be good. Maybe time to invest in one.

again, everyone, thanks for the tips!
