This concludes the presentation of trees from the exhibit area. I hope the photo's have been presented in a way in which the trees could be enjoyed. Two dimensional photo's can never describe in detail the feeling one gets standing in front of, for instance, the olive last posted. This tree has a trunk that is nearly 10" across at the base and stands nearly 36" tall.

The large Needle Juniper Chokkan is 8" across at the base and almost 5 feet tall. The pot is a signature tokonome, and with tree and soil weighs nearly 200 lbs. This is definatly a three man tree.

Thanks to all who exhibited,

Bonsai-al,
Al Keppler

Stay tuned for the Walter Pall and Shinji Suzuki Critique. Coming Soon!

Exelent presentation.

Al, you have done a fine job of presenting the trees from the GSBF convention here in fresno. I look forward to some of the other photos and comments that you have on this show. I am hoping that you have photos of the Suiseki display. I was told that there was one but was not able to see it.

I realy enjoyed the show and the opertunity to visit with you and and many others who partisipated.

Glenn

Treeebeard- No...this is not my tree. I wish I had it though. This is definatly my taste and style. This tree belongs to one of the co-chairs of the event. I will tal;k about this tree in more detail later during the Walter critique

Rips- Damn, I too did not shoot the suiseki display. I saw the display with my wife on Sat. but did not make my way back to get the photo's. It was a very nice display and worth the effffort to seek it out. It was in a area that did not get much trafffic and could have been signed better. A list of things that could have been better is probably being drafted as we speak.

Thanks, al

Very nice photos Al...As you mentioned earlier, I am sure this will be a convention that will be talked about for quite some time...It would have been great to be there, but since many of us did not have that opportunity, I appreciate you sharing the photos with us...

Thanks
Behr

Nice photos, Al. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting that most displays were not on formal bonsai stands with the exception of your display and the large cascade (which would've looked funny cascading off of the white pillar).
