Great Swamp Bonsai Society Annual Show
Saturday June 14th from 10 AM till 3PM is the time of my clubs Annual Show. If anyone is in the area, stop by. We are a small to midsized club and enjoy meeting new people. The show is at the Frehlinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown NJ about 1-2 miles off the Ridgedale Ave Exit (#36 ?) of I-287.
I will be getting there a bit late, probably about 2 PM but if you will be in the area, PM me and I will make arrangements to meet up with you. Our club pushes for all to enter a tree or two, I have three, and they will be judged in two categories.. intermediate and advanced. I hope to add pictures of the show to this thread by Sunday PM. Well Carl, the short answer is its alive. The longer answer is, not well. I have been restyling it, and making some mistakes, and learning. Lets just say, it has been an excellent helper.
But one of the Serrisa (Dare i say the word) cuttings you sent is coming along, slowly, but it is coming along. Thank you for remembering. Jay

Jay how about posting it, so I can see how you are doing....
As far as the (ahem) Serissas are concerned I have a clump style in the ground for the last four years, and it survived this past winter.... It has a will to live, so I am going to leave it in the ground for another year, and then maybe, I will style it, lying on my belly, and start it's training. ]Best regards, Carl L. Well I enjoyed myself at the show. I enjoyed myself sooo much that I forgot to take a lot of pictures. There were better than 50 trees from our membership. We also had some viewing stones displayed. I will show you the pictures of the trees that I did remember to photograph. First picture a very large collected pine!If i remember correctly this tree is better than 3 feet tall!
