Beeeeeautiful pot, Tokoname ya? sorry if i missed that, ws too busy drooooooling when Jgs said he had 100 year old grape vines, i so want a grape vine to style but have not managed to persuade any vineries to grub theirs up yet n my localish nursery doesnt stock them as far as i know

Looks like an awesome nursery, maybe one day when i cross the pond i will drop in there

I emailed them a couple of times to find out hours of operation, but never got an answer. Does anyone know if they have regular hours, or are they by appointment only?

His ad says by appointment, but he is there almost all day Sat. I would call first if you are going just to make sure he is there and will be open. In fact that is a nice thing to do whenever going out of town to see something like bonsai nurseries. Due to staffing issues and not much money for addtional payroll, things like conventions and exhibit booths can take owners away from the nursery. Better safe than sorry. You won't be dissapointed.

Here you go Hector,

784 Albers road, Modesto, CA. 95357

5 to 6 hours from 29 Palms to Fresno, then another 1.5 hours to the nursery. Thats about 16 hours round trip. You better take a lot of dough and make a trip like that worth it. Or give me a PM and you can layover here for the night.

Blue Oak Nursery

I couldn't resist -- here's a picture of the grape vines that Brad is carrying, 100+ year old Californian Russian River Zinfandels. BTW I see he's selling on Ebay now with some starters and larger stock plants.
