Wuggums-En leftover ficus fusion project

Dez and I had a few funky-shaped or too-small ficus too-little cuttings left over from this project, so we put together this little fusion project.

There were two leftover cuttings that were virtually the same shape. Here you see them on either side of the buncle with very small cuttings in front and back.

Then we bound them with grafting tape, trimmed the roots, arranged the roots, and potted it up.

We hope for fusion in 3 years of massive growth

input and insults welcome

Squat and piffle!

Turns out a few of the cuttings bundled in this group have died, just like the project they were left over from.

I have learned a lesson from this, though. It seems that binding the entire thing like a mummy just encourages too much rot.

I bound it this way to hasten the process, since binding just bits at a time takes a while. But the method I used turned out to be deadly, and hastened nothing but the demise of the project.

The lesson, as usual:
PATIENCE, GRASSHOPPER

I wonder how many times I need to learn the same lesson
