bonsai is not my hobby

What Can We Learn From This?
Just look at the development of this pathetic piece of material. It is a Japanese Mountain Maple, Acer palmatum. It came from a garden center where I purchased it for the equivalent of US$ 15 in 1983.
Here is my proud picture of the tree in 1985. Take a long looka t it and decide what you would do with it. Ask yourself the question whether this is good or bad material, whether there should be better or even much better trees available in any nursery. Is this the type of material that you wish to spend many many hours with in the coming years? Sorry for the quality of some of the upcoming pictures. They were converted from poor slides into digital format. Last edited by Walter_Pall : 9-Dec-2002 at 02:53 AM. |
