Quick update....

I did the airlayer last month for a demo at the Hanford Bonsai Society. I used the gel rooting hormone for the procedure.

Thirty days later..viola! roots! This nice shohin will be lifted this fall or possibly in the spring. Depends on the weather.

I see Jeff Gordon stuff in the bottom left hand corner of that last pic. Your not a Jeff Gordon fan are you?
Great thread either way.

Heavens no! My wife is the Gordo fan.

For me... Bobby Labonte is da man.. well OK used to be da man.

He is on track though. A little luck his way and poof he might just get that 43 to the front again. Wouldn't that be a hoot. I can just see the huge ear to ear grin on the face of Richard Petty when that 43 rolls into the winners circle.

Prediction: he will win this year.

My wifes case is all Gordon.
My case is Dale senior top, then a shelf of Dale Jr., then two shelfs of Labonte cars with the bottom to Richard Petty and Stewart. That engine on the top shelf is one of 3,333 scale replica models of the engine in his car from Daytona when he lost his life. It is 1/4 scale and made totally of machined aluminum. It is heavy and completely operates. You can crank the crankshaft and it operates the transmission and rocker assemblies as well as the pistons. Everything operates. The headers remove as well as the carbeurator. The only plastic is the air cleaner which is clear and some windows on some of the componets to view them. I am going to be putting this on Ebay soon.

I am an Earnhardt fan and now a DEI fan but there would be nothing finer than seeing that #43 in the winners circle again! It has been a long time! The King would be happy. BTW Al this thread is quite informative and appreciated! I have learned quite a bit from it. Thanks!
