Jose, You are right. When I do the virtual of the tree in a pot, I do them on photoshop. Sometimes when they are on the web they seem distorted. I try the pots just to get a feel if the tree would seem right with that sort of pot. I also feel the pot in the first virtual is too large. They just look out of balance, because they are. It's just for referance though. When I pot the tree in the spring, you can be assured it will be the right fit!
Thanks Bonsai-al

that is incredible!
Al, i expect you to give me lots of pointers on my little juniper once i get some wire on it to show it insides so you all can see the branching. I have a bit on it...actually i used the wire attached to the pot trick to pull the branches down...ill spare you the gorey details and post a pic soon. I look forward to seeing the future of this little gem. |

Holy Smoke, Al!
After reading the thread around 6 PM this evening - right after your last pre-dinner-time post - I thought you were really screwed this time around. "Too bad", I was thinking..."it had started out as such a nice tree." But the thread ended kinda abruptly, so knowing you I didn't post just yet...if figured I'd check back later, and see the final form. "There's always back-to-the-growing-box," I figured... So when I checked back just now, I sure didn't expect that you'd pull out anything like that little gem shown in the last few pictures. Damn. I'm really impressed with this one, Al. Really impressed. Only one comment. (You didn't really think you'd get away scot-free, did you?) The jin don't move with the branches. Wire a couple of those puppies down... -Carl / Old Mister Crow

another rayner (oval)
An oval, Sara Rayner potter
Not my favorite for this tree, the texture is close but the glaze would need to be darker. IMHO. (The drum is my favorite so far) Paul

alright...last one
Sara Rayner oval......a very large pot (much too large for this tree actually) but I shrunk it for the virt. Again, this color is too light for the tree and would need a darker glaze, I like the texture for it tho.
Mike, your right.....you'll see her on Love Boat soon. Paul
