Pinus parviflora styling by two

This was a work done already some time a go with a friend of mine. The tree is a pre- bonsai, more or less 30cm in height and almost 20cm width.

The firs two photos show the options that were considered. Option one was rejected because it gave a too common and clasical image, so option two was chosen.

Very nice job on this tree. I love it's taper. I have a question, what's the common name of this species? I had a friend give me a tree and it looks like a younger version of this tree.

The common name is White Pine.

Actually, its Japanese White Pine. White pine, in my stretch of the woods is Pinus strobus.
