bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Now that it is getting dark, I can shoot some pictures with a little more contrast. That is a picture showing the placement in the pot. There is also a closeup of how large the main trunk is. Close to 2.75"

Wow Al...I rarely use this word to describe bonsai, but your forest is FABULOUS.

Al,
What a wonderful looking group. Thank you for sharing its birth. My only regret is that I must limit my viewing to 2D online images. This is one forest I would love to be able to view in person. Job well done.....

Cheers, ak

My wife would kill me if I bought a pot that size! I'd love to see this in person. Do you plan to show it sometime in 2007?

I may show this during the Akatsuki spring exhibit. It is in April usually, but I'll let you know when I get a date.

Your not that far and are welcome at my home anytime. We can go the nursery when you are here.

Did you have John Naka's famous forest in mind as a model for this one? I mean this as a compliment, of course.

An outstanding display. Personally, I would like to see a little more downward pressure on some of those horizontal branches, otherwise this is a great bonsai.

It was great to see the photos of the buildup of this forest. An excellent presentation of a great forest.
