Sorry the soccer game didn't work out better - but GREAT SAVE on the olive, Carmi!

I like the "olive law," too - good for bonsai!

Regards,

Matt

Hi carmi,

Thanks for the great story ! I'd like a follow up on the reporter with the yellow hair .. :-) I read a great tutorial about virtualing by Treebeard this morning and took your olive as a victim to fiddle around with. I've seen "sumo style" olives, and I think your tree could qualify for one. Here's what I mean.

regards, René

Hi,
Almost a week passed.
This virtual was made with the Paint accessory of Windows as a shaping guide line.
I would love to see more ideas.
Thanks.

Here you are then Carmi.

I have closely followed your design, just changing a few things slightly...

I could chop the whole lot back and start from scratch but I don't suppuse you would want that.

Regards,

TB

I will have a little think about this olive, and see if I can think up anything else for it.

I like the sumo that René suggested.

Regards,

TB

Carmi, here is my thought for this guy. Forgive my poor attempt at a vertual I took Treebeard's vert as my base and worked out from there.

I tried to show a few changes:
1- The second trunk from the right I bent back so it will not cross the first trunk.
2- I also added a lower branch on this trunk to fill in the void on the left.
3- To me there is just to much stump. I mounded up the soil to show a lower planting position. If I could have I would have just lowered the tree in the pot, unfortunetely, I can not figure that out yet!

One more, with a change in the number one tree! Also a little different branching here and there.
