Oh I forgot to ask you all about your opinions. I plan on placing it into a grow box this weekend. I value your opinions highly.

Hi, first remember I am not knowledgeable on this species. That said, I like how you are going about with this tree. I think it has a nice line to it. It does seem a little wide with extra foilage. I would prefer to see it tighter. But.... this is the first styling of the tree, I guess there is only so much you can do to it and expect it to live.

Thanks Jay,
It was a tangled mess, long branches with all the foliage at the ends. I will grow it for a few years and try and get it to bud back.
It had 2 thick branches at the top jetting off at 90 degree angles from the main trunk line. I had to do some serious bending to get one of them to take over as the new apex and deleted the other one. I hope by years end it will take off and start looking like something.
Thanks again Jay

jhil, for the first styling of the tree, it is a great job that you have down.

Thanks David,
It needs alot more work done to it but I have all the time I need. I potted it up in a grow box and will post a pic of it soon. When I removed it from the nusery pot I removed most of the soil and found that it was burlapped and the burlap had grown into the trunk a bit. I will have to do some surgery to remove as much of it as I can. It did have plenty of fine feeder roots though.
Thanks again
John
