I thought I'd post this $8 tree also. I finally got my hands on some wire and finished it today. This is the tree I was refering to in this thread...
http://forum.bonsaitalk.com/showthr...=&threadid=3407 I had no idea what can be acomplished by wire. I still plan to jin the lower branches at the base of the trunk. My wife gives it 2 thumbs up! Any comments or critisism is always appreciated. Thanks!a before pic...

Great work. From the pictures you posted I prefer the back view of the tree rather than the front you have selected. However we are viewing 2D image is usually hard to judge. However I really like it. David |

You should take that piece hanigin in the back near the stump and shari that, giving it more style, you can notice it while looking it is the branche near the stum that is well defined and longer then the other. But you should definitaly shari that one, to give it that more windswept look

Really great work. I certainly wouldn't have the eye to see such a great windswept in that stock plant. You're doing a good job.

looks really nice. But since it looks so wind beaten and fragile dead wood must be present to emphasize the overall aspect of the tree. The 2nd pic looks better and you should try to jin the stubs and shari the upper branch
