Red Pine

Hi this red pine was worked on at a recent club workshop and i am hoping to repot in the new year, any ideas on the tree ?

Paul, Your red pine is very attractive; specially the movement in the lower trunk. I think the initial styling is right on the mark for developing into the informal upright style. Attached is a sketch of how I see you pine in a few years. heymikey!

Paul, I sure like what you're doing with this tree and appreciate you sharing it with us. Your pictures address one of the toughest issues in Bonsai cultivation and one that is not addressed often enough: how to make the initial transition from pre-bonsai stock to real bonsai. I'm wrestling with it myself with several of our local Short Leaf Pines and you've stimulated my imagination.

Paul,

Mickey has given you a very good virtual. I think this is a good outlook for this tree. The one that I show here is a Monterey pine which was developed from a seedling starting 45 years ago by Katsumi Kinoshita from Monterey, Ca.
I would like to see your tree in 45 years :-)
