bonsai is not my hobby

Hi Peter,
sorry to bother you. Your photos are not good enough! You must take a picture at about two thirds of the height of the tree in a right angle exactly in front of the tree. Everything else as picture is more or less worthless. There is a definie front of a tree and that's how it is defined. I cannot evaluate the tree if I don't have the right picutre. You take the picutres from above the crown of the tree. Lower the camera by more than 50 cm. If you barely see the surface of the soil it's about right. BTW, Do you know the most active bonsai forum in the world by far (more than 11,000 eleven thousand! messages in five months) is German: http://www.bonsai-fachforum.de/ |

Hi Walter,
thanks for your 1st lesson ;-). Hope I did right now... Actual front... ...from the left... ...from the right... ...from the back... ![]() ...and probably the new front: Thanks in advance for your reply. Liebe Grüße aus Marburg, Peter PS: I know about the Fachforum, Walter. Actually I am a (new) member of it. Since then, I left all other german forums on behind. |

Peter,
yes I agree, the new front is probably better. It is not as two-dimensional, giving more depth, and the roots on the rock should look better. I would try to make the tree shorter and more compact and more tidy. This seems possible to me. best regards Walter Pall |
