ATM: Ficus Retusa Microcarpa

My photography skills leave much to be desired...

I am curious as to the direction I should take with this fig and as to what pot would best compliment this tree.

Thanks in advance for your valued thoughts.

Will

I prefer pot #2. The darker sepia tones of pot #1 seem to draw my eye away from the tree and I wind up seeing only the pot. #2 lessens this effect and I see the whole composition. For what its worth.

Thanks Walter, I envy your eye for design. I also like the #2 pot, anyone know where I locate one like this?

One thing caught my eye and surprised me, the color of the soil. I noticed that the current mix I am using almost matches the trunk in color. The picture you posted with the second pot choice shows off a mix of a differant color and looks much more pleasing.

Is matching soil mix color and texture to the tree something that is practiced?
