My first tree ever, a 5" mallsai Chinese elm received as a gift 8 years ago. After a few years of neglect, I decided this past fall to try to resurrect it and cut it back very very hard. Here it is, just budding out.

Accent plant: Bugleweed Ajuga reptans.
