Looking back at the $20 Material Design Contest 2003 I was wondering about the fate of many of these trees entered. Would anyone who entered this contest then like to post side by side pics of their entry picture and one of how it looks today? Might be a interesting thread with the current contest coming to a close shorty. Thanks, Will

I gave mine away to a friend who wanted to get started in bonsai. As I mentioned in that PM, the last thing I need in my yard is another instant-bonsai. Anyway, predictably, it didn't survive the month. Some combination of worked-too-hard and watered-too-little (or too-much), no doubt. On the positive side, it stayed green for a long time.... I'll probably keep this year's effort, though. Best regards, Carl
