WBFF World Bonsai Contest 2006

Learning the mechanics of bonsai is a matter of rote. Over and over again the processes are practiced until the hands and eyes know the moves.
Learning the art of bonsai may be more like water wearing away a stone, or climbing a mountain where the peak is always shrouded in fog and just out of reach.
Persist, and someday you may see the peak in sunshine. You may pick up the stone and it's a thing of beauty.

Thanks for the heads up!

I entered a few last year, they didn't make the top 100. So maybe this year I will try a couple of different trees at the end of summer and see how they do. One of these years I will make the cut.. .

Mike and all,
I got my certificate for this contest in the mail today. My second one.
It gave me cause to realize that this WORLD bonsai contest finalized photos published at the BCI site and in BCI magazine didn't receive even a FRACTION of the comments from BT'ers that the simple NOTIFICATION of the recent AoB and KoB contest did.
Does anyone have ANY idea why??
I wonder if the judged 2007 WBC contest will be as "popular" for comment as the AoB or KoB contests have been so far?
Dale
