Wayne,

Sorry for offending you. I just passionately believe in what I posted, and that may be the cause of sounding inflammatory. I really don't have any personal feelings about BT. I am passionate about bonsai, and and the arts in general. Too passionate for my own good.

Cheers,
Attila

Dear Vance,

I am bringing up your post because I read the thread today. I have been pulling double shifts for a couple of weeks, and the forum was down for nearly a day, so it was the first opportunity to do so. I may continue to do this from time to time since I still pay the bills occasionally.

I have no idea why you made such a wildly off-base comment in post 3 of this thread. I don't really care. However there is no justifiable reason to try to make this thread personal. There may be other reasons.

I am really getting tired of this. Because I have so little time available to me to prevent word skirmishes it's put an undue burden on the other moderators. I am going to be far less tolerant of muckraking in the future, I assure you.

Regards,

Matt

Unfortunatelly there is no such animal.
You will not find a news stand copy of any bonsai magazine in the US. Not sure if that is because of the small (?) audience for them or just the quality of the bonsai mags out there.
Europe on the other had, is a bit different. Bonsai, I guess, is a bit bigger there. At least the magazines sell a whole lot better.

Ron, I've located a few places that do carry BT on the news stands. I have yet to find any of the others, but they can be had on ebay or borrowed I suspect. Thanks for the concern though.

I read that contest blurb, but I think what Bonsai Today really needs is some contributing editors, not wordsmiths. I would settle for even poorly worded material -- if the content was halfway good.

If they need editors to do a second pass on translations for native English fluency and clarity, that's cool, but to my mind the content itself is the problem. For example, I had been looking forward to issue #100 but I don't know if there was any new content in it. It was like deja vous all over again.

Regards,

Matt

I've seen it on the newstand in Kinokuniya bookstore, on the rack between the car magazines and the camera magazines.

Regards,

Matt
