found this baby in a garden today and cut back to creat the s shape. it stands about 3cm tall with a 1cm thick trunk.i would love to no the species if enyone can guess from the photo. its in a jam jar lid cause i didnt have anything small enough to put it in. i think this could just about challenge Robert Stephans baby.

It's verrry verry tiny! I'd quess some sorta elm by the shape of the leaf, cottoneaster has a smoother edge to the leaf. Nice mame!

Wow, now thats small. Hard for me to tell what it might be even though you probably zoomed in a lot to get that pic. An elm sounds like a good candidate though. If you can zoom in further go for it.

TINY!

My vote would be elm. A clearer pic of the leaf would help.

Cool tree Dude,

Takes me back to when I saw a large collection of bonsai all growing in Jam Tins, outback in Broken Hill.
Trust you've got it in light shade, also trust you pierced a hole or two in that there lid.
Request close-up detail pics of leaves and trunk for proper identification, doubt that it is an Azalea or Elm, maybe a Buxus.

Great fun....Nigel
