my bonsai collection mini bonsai babies..
ok. i have got a whole collection of bonsai dwarf bonsai in which they are smallish baby dwarf bonsai and they are very very small little trees but they can grow up to a few feet tall just like any ordianry bonsai. the first bonsai i got was like a beechy fig like bonsai that is about well when i first bought it, it was the first bonsai ever that i have bought in my whole life and that was only just a few weeks ago and it has grown 3 inches tall from last time i bought it, it was about 1 1/2 half inch tall.
i have just bought my conifer bonsai just today and i bought the much older bonsai a few weeks ago after i bought my first one i have a tea tree australian bonsai and a conifer dwarf baby and also another conifer like tree like bonsai and they take along time to grow as you see and thats about all i have but they will get there just going to take alot of patience though. but tell me when i should start training them? thank you. |

I'll take a crack at this...My impression about what you're asking is that you've purchased bonsai that are in the very early stages of training; you're trying to find out what to do with each of them by asking these questions in run-on sentences. The best advice I can give would be to try to take good photos of your trees and post those photos so that people who see them can better visualize what you're talking about. In the meantime, your first job is to find out how to get them to put on healthy, vigorous growth. Each and every one of them.
Get hold of bonsai books and magazines--sources other than the internet. These will help you to fill in the gaps at your own pace. Stay tuned to these forums and advice and answers will trickle in if you pay attention. And most of all--listen to what your trees are telling you ![]() |

Put all the periods and commas you like in there, Libby. It still doesn't help.

Hi Lord Fungi echoing Gregb it would be a benefit if you could put up some pics for us to assess your trees, so that we may help.
Please don't be put off by some of the derisory comments posted here, albeit that some attempt at humour may have been their intention. Regards Ash ![]()

Some attempt at humor and also a basic message, Ash. If a person posts a message here, it seems only reasonable that they would proof-read their post before it's submitted. If it is so convoluted that it cannot even be understood, how can they expect a helpful reply? If the poster cannot make even the slightest extra effort, why should we? Should I have to read the thing six or seven times to try to make sense of it?
I could have answered lord fungi's question at the end. "Start training them now." Seems a little incomplete, particularly for a beginner. There is a tremendous wealth of information available here. Composing a coherent question is all a person needs to do to receive it. That's not too high of a price. Take care, zube
