Juniper repots
These are four juniper bonsai that recieved repots this week. I work on one or two each night after work.
the first is a juniper that is well documented here at BT. It was a juniper from the first 20.00 contest and last year I repotted it into a small sara rayner drum pot. It was what I had yet it was wrong for the tree. This year I was able to scarf this small Tokoname from Vicky Lee. Graydon had seen this pot during his travels thru California. Snooze you lose!

This juniper has also been around on the forum a time or two. It was documented here Carl did not seem to like my juniper nor my idea. I think it is coming along quite well. Still needs more work, but a far cry better than a couple years ago.

This Itoigawa juniper is undergoing a new canopy and has been pinched hard and does show some browning. The tree was taken from the ugly round pot and placed in this signature Tokoname. I hope to have the canopy more finished by the end of the season.

And last but certainly not least this small Shimpaku juniper. This year I was able to find this pot. It is one in a million. It is a purple sand Yixing, exibition quality and of a color so perfect for this tree. I am really pleased with this marriage. When I think back to what I started with in 2002 I feel very lucky to have managed by goal. I hope some will take notice of the increased trunk at the bottom of the tree. Pretty good flare now that it can be reavealed.
