Fantastic step by step, these things really help me see the designs in my trees, like you or someone else have done an air layering step by step and this weekend im going to try a ground layer for the first time (i'll post pics)

Cheers
Rowan

Al, can you let that new, verdant lawn go dead so we can better appreciate your tree's foliage?

Just foolin'

Matt

Hello,

I am rather new to this but have a question. I was curious about the vertical nature of your cascade. Is this a desireable feature? All of the pictures I have seen seem to have more of a slant to the decent than yours.

I am going on book knowledge alone so I don't wish to imply that I am pointing out flaws wich I wouldn't begin to do. I am merely curious for clarification on this style.

I personnaly like the look of it and enjoyed the step-by-step.

Thanks

I have more strongly bent a trunk, and that it seems to straight lines. All the best to you. Success.

My only concern with this tree, Al, is the fishing-rod look to the bend in the trunk. There has to be a way to get a more natural feel to it. Have you tried bending it?

Nice sequence Al, the emphasis on needlework and twisting to reposition branches/branchlets where you want them is one of the things that is frequently overlooked in pine primers. John
