Thanks for the update. I'm alway impressed with the shape and direction these trees take over the years. What is the final height?

Looks nice Al.

Just a thought....The thickness of the deadwood at the base of the tree, while a naturally occurring phenomenon, seems to give this tree a significant and to me distracting reverse taper.I'm not sure that my virt is an improvement but that's never stopped me before .

the division line

ive played with those jins because i felt that they were creating a horizontal line that divided the top half from the bottom and accentuates the differences. otherwise a lovely tree. could be a photo thing and ive barked up the wrong tree too.

Al..... when did you say you were shipping me (this tree) my belated Birthday present?

It is wonderful to see it progress over the years....

Qudo's Al, nice little juni.

"could be a photo thing and ive barked up the wrong tree ", but I king of straddle Andy's, and anttal's virt's, ie take the one Andy did, and shorten the higher jin to a smallish stub.

Loved the intro post, it's timeless.

Thanks Al, love progressions, and yours is tops.
I wore my mouse out scrolling up and down to see all the before and after shots to compare.

Next year could you post all the pictures in bonsai transformations to see them next to each other?

Very nice bonsai Al! Superb pot too! Chinese? I like that home made tatami mat too. Pretty darn good photography too. I can only nit pick on the wires a little bit. Aluminum? They are a little too shiny.

Good day!
Si
