Ficus "Too little" mame

Just thought i'd share this tiny Ficus "too little" that I caught out of the corner of my eye in a nursery here. Picked it up for 5 bucks. I plan on making a mame from it.

Since it's a ficus, I know I can keep it indoors in the winter. But, is there any special time of year that I should do the re-potting and root pruning?

One more question, Is a Shohin the same as a mame?

MAME is a type of SHOHIN

Shohin-Bonsai is 25 centimeters( under 10 inches height ) height or lower.
Shohin-Bonsai includes Gafu-Bonsai, Mame-size Bonsai, Mini-size Bonsai.

Mini-size Bonsai:
Mini-size Bonsai is the height size below 10 centimeters with 7.1 or more centimeters.

Mame-size Bonsai:
Bean-size Bonsai
Mame-Bonsai is 7.0 centimeters height or lower.

A ficus "too little" may be transplanted any time that it is showing strong growth, whatever the season. They tolerate a LOT of root pruning.

Yours looks like it would be just fine to go right now.
