Creating An Old Looking Mini Bonsai

Here is an Elm. Three years ago while I was pruning my oldest elm I put the limbs into soil instead of throwing them away. This is one of the original five.

The limb has retained the ramification and rough bark, it is only four inches high.
The penny is for scale.
