Yes, John, sad indeed. I've honestly never felt such devastation and emptiness...this place, one that once brought me pleasure and happiness, is bereft of such good feelings now ..........






But seriously.....


Since this is a thread on overwintering trees, I thought I'd post some pics of some of my trees in winter storage. It's definitely not pretty but effective. The first pic is of some of my larger trees mulched along the north side of my garage. The second pic is the trees stuffed/mulched into my garage. The third pic shows my garage thermometer...this pic was taken around 11:30 AM today... it read 23F at 8AM........bbrrrrr!

Does this look OK? I had to water the bonsai so I basically used fresh snow. I sprinkled some on the foliage too. The temperatures dipped to 14 or so outside but it's still 29-32 in the garage. I've got other plants in there and the water didn't freeze in their containers.
