Work In Progress

My sunroom. Not finished. It used to be an old rickety awning completely exposed with birds roosting in the rafters.

My goal is to make it a fully automated automated room. Light, humidity and heat all controlled prescisely. I have to manually adjust everything now which is a pain. It has two skylights as well

I am going to build in cabinets and wrap around shelves. I intend to set the shelves up so I can water the trees where they are with a hose and have everything drain into the sewer.

The only persistent problem I have is spider mites. They really thrive in the room during the winter months when its dry.

Wow, that's awesome! I'm jealous.

I'd really like to enclose or convert an area for bonsai, especially wintering over and so on. I have a hard time convincing Mrs Sailor to let me have the dining room for my trees, though...

Ha! Using the dining room for my trees is exactly how I convinced my wife to let me convert the back porch area.
