Question For The Group
All,
I am leaving tomorrow morning for a week long business trip. My lovely and trustworthy mother is going to stop by my house every day to remove the mail from the mailbox, and more importantly check, mist, and water my tropicals as needed. My question is, what temp should I leave my thermostat set to? I would like to save some money and leave it lower than when I'm home but I want to make sure my trees are comfortable and keep growing well. Thanks in advance Adam |

A safe temperature for my tropicals is to never let them get below 45 degrees. So, in the fall when nights were getting to be 50 I started to acclimate them back into the house. I currently keep mine at about 60 degrees during the entire winter.

I have roughly the same and then a few others (except a Serissa--can't live with a plant that dies if you look at it wrong). I keep my lowes setting at 63 and the trees are near the window so I'm sure it's a few degrees cooler.

Cool, Thanks for the replys. I wasn't able to check this thread before I ended up leaving but I left my thermostat set at 64 and my trees are on an extended window sill I in a west facing window I made just for them!
