Watering Issue- Serissa
Hi!
I fill the tray that the pot is in holding my little tree with water every other day. Now my first question is does my tree suck this water through the drainage hole? Because the drainage hole is in the water, but can the roots suck that water up? If yes, is every other day to much? Sorry, I just bought my small tree of a thousand stars less than a week ago, and is in beatuful shape with very small, dark, green shiny leaves. Although, some of my leaves are a little lightly colored than usual. I was wondering if that was from the plant adjusting, or the heater about 5 ft away from the plant. But, I put a board up to block most of the heat. And, since here in rainy Washington, I provide a special light for the plant that has the same power as sun rays. So my last question is, how far should i place the light away and how long?
Thank you for reading my concercs, I have just started but have been researching bonsai finding out that it is harder than I expected because I respect all living things so I am abssesed with keeping the plant alive.
