Dtree -
Great idea on the light meter - I already have one! Shoulda thought about using it... BTW, what trees are you growing under your lights? Do you keep them outside during the growing season, then bring them in? What kind of light schedule do you put them on? What kind of lights are you running and how far from your plants are they? I ask because I am running out of real estate under my lights (shared between my trop and subtrop bonsai, and a growing pachycaul succulent collection)! I think I need to make some better decisions around which plants really need to spend time under the lights during the fall - winter - early spring, and which will get by just fine under the ambient light of very large windows (albeit with a north, east, and west exposure) and skylights of my sunroom. In fact, I wonder if I am stressing some of my trees by not allowing more of a natural light-induced dormancy (e.g., my euro olives and bougainvillia, for instance). Any opinion? Thanks. Tom
