First plant..
First off I am very grateful for this forum. I've been looking around for a couple days and all I see is people helping each other(and a lot of bonsai). This is such a great site for bonsai starters like me and for the masters.
I just bought a Black Olive from my local bonsai shop. It has so much potential, I don't know where to start. I know that it is too cold out right now for the olive to survive outside. I could either put in in this greenhouse I made from an aquarium, grow light, and a thing of water for humidity. The only problem I can think of by doing this is the lack of curculating air and the light is too close. But the other choice is just above my sink that will get good morning light. Next, I do not know how to start to style my tree. I want to go for a semi-cascade style. Im not sure how well Black Olives are suited for this. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. |
