Fig Out Doors

i recently bought a port jackson fig from a native nursery. i was wondoring if it needs extra shade, also it has a red spoutiling coming up beside it, should i pull it out or let it grow?

Not sure what to do with a "port jackson fig", but nearly broke my neck ducking...wow, that is one big image.

Please try and post smaller images....I've reduced yours to a much more manageable size....Also remember some of the members of this board are loading images via dial up connections... too large too long too little help will come.

i grow mine in pots till they are a decent size then put em in bonsai pots. im sorry bout the image ownt happen again.

a port jackson fig is a native australian playnt and a freat fig at that. Ficus rubiginosa is its scientific name.
