Ficus Pandora

Is Ficus Pandora another form of Benji? Has anyone here used this type before? I would like to know your experience, and see a pic if you have one.
Thanks

It sure does look like a Benjamina variant.

I have seen it listed as Ficus benjamina 'Panda' - you'll probably get some hits if you Google under that name.

Regards.

Matt

The reason I originally posted was because I had seen a couple these in Home Depot shoved under a shelf (they take good care of plants, not). Anyway I decided to buy one for $3.99. There was 5 seperate plants in the pot. The leaves are small and very uniform. They already have some decent form to them.I will post pics after I repot. Mine does not look like the pic above but does come from the same greenhouse. 2 of them have potencial.I was just curious if growers keep inventing new names for the same plants.I will probably email the grower, and see if i get a response.

Sad to say but some do. It is an easy way to get around a plant paten.
A good example of this is the " ficus princess marsha, ficus too little and the Brussels sprout.
All are the same plant from the same stock. Propagate it yourself, change the name and you are in business. Seems like there is always a way to beat the system.

I have looked at some of those multi tree "trees" in places like Home Depot and wondered if there might be potential for a small forest in there.

Maybe I'll give it a try!

You can do that no problem.
But you are better off doing a "claft style" (a sort of modified forest) with them.

For the price they are nice looking trees. Even if they end up in my kid's room's as mock bonsai.Like I said the ones I picked up are very uniform.
