Sapling exchange program
Hey,
Let's get into the fray here... I have a lot of saplings, including: Mimosa Sweetgum Willow Anyone who has anything worth trading, post it here, let's swap around. I'd love to try growing something from another state, or even country! Capt. Jack |

Re: Sapling exchange program
I wish! Unfortunately it's the Tupelo, or American sweetgum (Liquidamber styraciflua).
And thanks for the compliment, but I'm about through posting. I have been flamed twice in the last two days for my advice. And the advice was good, it was armchair bonsaists who didn't offer any better advice who were complaining. Anyway, let me know if you want any of the trees. What I like best about these Sweetgums is the size of the leaves can be controlled so well. Thanks, Capt. Jack |

YOU CAN NOT RUSH TIME

Re: Sapling exchange program
Brian, just a thought for you. Your new collected trees look healthy. If you want them to grow quicker, you might want to think about a grow box or planting in the ground. If they stay in the 4 inch (I think) pots they will grow v e r y s l o w .
Perhaps others will feel different but the quickest way to thicken the trunk is in the ground, second best is the box. Good luck with the new kids
