Serissa from eBay, positively recommend this vendor (Little Bonsai Store)

In this occasion I found a vendor from eBay that surprised me with a better than expected pre-bonsai tree; a serissa foetida.

This is the vendor's site, and I highly recommend him:
http://stores.ebay.com/The-Little-Bonsai-Store

The prices and items are similar to Miami Tropical Bonsai which I believe is highly regarded here in Florida. I think somebody at my local club recommended it once.

Very positive experience overall. He/she lists bonsai plants in a Dutch type option, and lists several bonsai trees at the same time, but has no individual pictures. I think that in Dutch options price is pretty much fixed if the number of bids is less than the number of trees; he usually sells a batch of trees at the time.

In my case, I bought this serissa foteida for $19. The link to the eBay item might not work anymore after a while, but here it is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...item=4428694147

I am attaching a picture of the actual bonsai tree with a 3/4" inch trunk. I took some cuttings out of it for a project, so it used to have more foliage.

What happened to you hooking up with that local seller who goes collecting for big baldies and stuff? If you keep buying these culls of ebay like this you will end up with a depleted savings and an insipid collection. There is sometimes good stuff on ebay but you seem to be missing it.

Hi Redpine,

This tree was part of my December bonsai shopping spree . I am happy with this one.

I went back to the local lady, and she seems to have gotten a little greedy since she told me that a lot of people where now looking for bonsai material and that she would have to charge more for it . Next time, I will remember not to ask for bonsai material since it is a synonymous (sometimes) for premium.

There has to be a club or someone selling good stuff around there. I only wish I had more time to check up on my local clubs. That is a Miami tropical pot, sticker, soil just saw the helper trimming them up(about a thousand of them) a month ago. Your in Tampa Im in Boca and man I cant get Serissa to live at all.

Really nice tree in my opinion... Why are you so sure it is from were you say it is?

Well, can't know for sure really, but the price is very comparable to Miami Tropical, the tree's pretty healthy, the photo the seller had for the trees on a platform looked very similar in background. This is almost for sure an import also, not many people import, and the seller is near Miami I believe. A good thing about the seller is that he/she had a dutch auction where price is pretty much fixed, and not like other eBay sellers who inflate prices by having fake bids.

The tree's health was put to a test a few days ago when my dripping system failed (because I didn't put water on it on time) and the tree didn't get water for a couple of days at 80 degree temperatures... all the leaves looked sad, but after re-establishing the water on the tree, it came back as if nothing.

If you know the actual seller please let us know.
