New Pot Web-pages

Hi All,

Those who follow the "Bonsai Pots & Containers" section will no doubt know of me.

If you do not - then you still need pots for those trees

so have a look at new web-pages I have recently finished.

Walsall Web Pages

Would appreciate feedback via the poll or in this thread.

Best wishes,
Ian

Try getting on a Mac and seeing if the site looks ok to you. I'm viewing it from a Mac with both netscape and exlporer. I like the color scheme and graphics, but as I have found with my own websites things seem to get a little confused across operating systems. Your cells seem to overlap, and there are borders where there probably aren't meant to be. I have no idea how to resolve the conflict, I'm not sure that many people even try.

Mac Problems.

Hi Justin,

Thanks for that feedback. Everything is fine on PC but not on a MAC.

I have had that reported to me before.

Have a second-hand MAC (at the right price) being installed soon - so I will try to address the problems - when I can actually see them

I have used MS Publisher to create the pages - you would think there would be some compatability by now ! Anyone with ideas on converting to a more MAC friendly environment ?

Thanks once again - hope you can get access to a PC at some stage to view them how I intended.

Ian.

Gday Ian!

I visited your site a couple of weeks ago with no problems - except for the lack of pics of some of your pots. I'm using Windows 2000 and the latest version of Firefox. Now, at the address http://www.walsall-studio-ceramics.com/index_files/Page266.html I am getting an empty box on the right hand side which says "Explosion 1 - Meet David and see our pots...' It is overlapping the top 3 pot pics on that side.

The page http://www.walsall-studio-ceramics.com/index_files/Page427.html is a little too wide for my browser.

Otherwise, things seem to be working fine. Good work. Any idea what cartage to DownUnda might cost?

Thanks.

FlyBri.

Thanks.

Hi FlyBri,

Thanks for being one of the first visitors a few weeks back. At that time, I had still to compress some of the photo's - so that was why perhaps some did not show.

The "explosion" is just a quick tag to promote the Noelanders Trophy in Belgium this very weekend. David is there with just about every finished pot from the pottery ! Myself and Mark have been in today building up stocks for the busy re-potting season almost upon us. We had some great new "accent" pots out of the one kiln today. When the update does go on - that explosion will go and you will see the right-hand side of the homepage in full.

If you are interested in "BUY NOW" pots you can always test the "paypal" shopping cart. Simply add to any selection the "WORLDWIDE" option from the delivery page. Then when you go to checkout - it will work out packing and postage costs for you. If you do not wish to purchase, just tick the remove boxes and "update" - which will then remove the selected items from the cart. By selecting "continue shopping" or closing the window - this will then take you back to the site. The cart will take Credit/Debit Cards so you do not need to have a paypal account.

We have yet to send a larger pot to Australia, so if you wish to know shipping on a "Made to Order" you can always use the order form without any obligation and put "REQUEST SHIPPING COST" or similar in the comment box.
I could then find out the weight and cost of that particular pot to your location - before you decide to purchase.

Graulus,

Great that you bought some pots. Will get the update on the competition when David returns.
Meantime, I am trying to rely on "paypal" to convert to local currencies. There is SO MUCH you need to do to satisfy everyone.
If Euro's why not US$ and Aus$ etc... Then why not centimetres or inches. (phew! )

I will no doubt make changes in time, but with only limited free time to work on these pages at the moment - I have to prioritise.

Thanks again for the feedback - keep it coming.

Ian.

Hi Ian, was browsing this site this morning and noticed that on the page

http://www.walsall-studio-ceramics....s/Page6453.html

The 'sorry sold' and 'pots made to order' boxes are misaligned vertically.

I thought that when you first posted about the site I had been able to navigate to a glaze colour page that had thumbs of the glazes and not just descriptions. Can't seem to find it now!

Keep up the good work.

Regards,

Chris.

Glazes

Good Evening Chris,

I was aware of that alignment problem and did correct it recently. Try a "refresh" on your browser and see if that corrects the problem.

Glaze pages can be found:
1. On the bottom of the "Contact Us" page.
2. From the "Take a Tour" - click on the Glazes box near the bottom right.
3. From the "BUY NOW" pots at the bottom - "Order in Another Colour"
4. From the "Made to Order" section - top right of pages.
5. From the Order forms - "View our Glazes"

Hope they all still work and I have not got a major re-build !!!
Must check them again myself !!!!!

Cheers Mate,
Ian.

Still there

Chris,

Yes all there OK.

Just shows you how valuable "feedback" is.
I know where everything is since I did the site, so it is hard to be self critical. But, I must admit for the first time viewer, we should perhaps have a link direct from the HOMEPAGE for Glazes.

Will look into that on a future upgrade.

Thanks once again.

Ian.
