Your vendor review would be more effective if you would provide details like what you purchased and when and what the problem was and what specifically the vendor did or didn't do that didn't meet your expectations. Then, after careful proofreading, post it here in the vendor feedback area, or submit the vendor as a topic in our http://reviews.bonsaitalk.com area
That way you are providing specific information that people can use as opposed to only a reaction. In addition, if you want to make it a valuable and complete review, you can tell us Did the vendor ship promptly? Did the item(s) arrive in good condition? Were the materials received as expected? etc. Regards, Matt

Old Bonsaiman-new pots
|
Matt,
I hardly ever look at this catagory but tought I would when I saw the red checkmark. This posts "Don't do it" intrigued me so I looked. Sorry I did! This post tells NOTHING!! and looks like my dog typed it! I'm suprised you let that post go by considereing it's about someones livelyhood. Your suggestions above are the right idea, however I would have removed it and told him to go back and do it again. Basically, his post is just a cheap shot. I don't know David Fukimoto personally and have never met him, but, I'm pretty sure he deserves better than that! Regards, Dale

Could just be that David told him he typed like a dog! Maybe he started this thread while angry. I know I have expressed myself poorly while my temper has flared. It is also possible that after thinking things through he no longer feels it necessary to give specific details due to an initial over reaction.
Wouldn't it be terrible if he was treated poorly only to have it done again here. Could cause one to leave bonsai forever if it were there only experiences. Moral - more info up front keeps speculation at bay.

Bonsai nare-do-well
|
As one of those vendors I know that the sword can swing both ways on Vendor Feedback. It could be a plug for a good vendor or a dig on a bad one. It also could be an unfair slam on a good vendor.
Luckily my shop (such as it is) not too often mentioned on the bonsai forums. That could be a bit of luck or just that no one cares about Tokonoma Bonsai enough to write about it. Who knows. But if I did have to answer up here one day I do hope that I have a bit more information to go on than "bonsai tree" supplied. Not much there to go on. I did take a peak at his profile and noticed the birthday he listed. 8 Jun 1990. That does put him a bit on the young side. Maybe a bit inexperienced. And maybe just a bit hot headed. No slam on the rest of you young fellows (and gals). All of us have screwed up a bit. One does not have to be young to do that. Just with age comes experience. And experience makes you set back and think a bit before you say something. Matt has put some pretty good guidelines in his message. All of us need to take them to heart. No matter what our age or what ever side of the store counter you are on. |
