Re: bonsai auction sites
I think there are only three I have ever run across.
1) *www.ebay.com always has a lot of stuff going. *It would be hard for a seller to beat that market just based on the number of eyeballs that are on it every day. * It's the 500-lb gorilla, and I don't think any site can compete unless it is very sticky. *We're only a little tacky right now, here. ![]() 2) http://www.bonsaiauctions.com was running for awhile. *I actually posted a few items on it, but none ever sold even at the reserve. *The domain name came up for purchase eventually so I bought it and pointed it here to help get the forum off the ground. 3) www.bonsaibarter.com, which appears to me to be a web designer's portfolio item. * It's very nicely laid out but I don't think it's for real. *I noticed registration for sellers was $100, *I sent an email to the site owner but I never received a response back. I have also never seen any items of any kind listed there for sale. Regards, Matt UPDATE: http://www.bonsaiauctions.com is operating again! Come check it out

YOU CAN NOT RUSH TIME
|
Re: bonsai auction site's
Scott, I agree with Matt, eBay is the big daddy of the auction sites. You can also find some Bonsai (mostly seeds) on Yahoo. If you are looking to buy, I suggest you consider a nursery. The links from this site will send you in the right direction. Buying from an auction is risky, first you may not be getting the tree pictured, ASK! Also you usually see only one view and it could be misleading! Now do not get me wrong their are a few good auction sellers but on the whole you have individuals who are looking to make a buck and may ship you a tree that is... well.... not what you really want.
