One of the very best is in Jupiter. Jupiter Bonsai. They have 6 acres of trees.

My wife wants to go to WPB in June. I'm going on the condition that I can spend a few days in Jupiter.

Actually bonsai is pretty big in West Palm Beach.
There is a pretty active club there and several bonsai shops close by. I go to that area several times a year and always have a good crowd.
Nice people.
As far as I am concerned the best place to go is Jupiter Bonsai. It is located in , naturally, Jupiter Florida. About 20 minutes from WPB. ( the suburbs of WPB really)
Until his death this was Jim Moodys nursery. It now belongs to his Grandson Allan. Personally trained by Jim and in my opinion just as good.
Just north of there is Dura-stone. Jim Smiths place. Located in Vero Beach. A world recognized ficus expert and one heck of a good artist.
Not far south is Mary Miller and Ed Trout.
Just about the center of the best of bonsai on the East Coast (to say the least)
Within an hours ride one can find the best of bonsai classes , stores and stock. What more can one ask for.
