The clay was whatever the teacher had on hand and the cone was whatever she set it on. Sorry, just a noob taking my first class, and that was in 2000 or so.

But, since Will is covering the postage, we have no worries, right?

And then Carl will ship it to Dale?
I'm confused ...

... actually, I'm just deliberately obtuse

What the heck. I'll pay the postage to me. No questions asked.
I'll give it to Colin Lewis as a gift. He does have a collection of these kind of pots ;o)

What the heck. I was just offereing to fix it up to where critics might like it better then send it on to someone who might use it. I'm not going to fight over it........for sure!
Pootsie, btw, the reason I asked about temp/clay is that if you fire a cone 06 clay for example ( like stuff from "paint your own" type shops, or darker 06 clays) to cone 6 ( the lowest I fire anything) it will melt into a puddle on the kiln shelf. And, ditto if it's cone 6 clay fired to cone 10 ( what I fire gas kiln to). actually would just be more of a bloated mess than puddle here. It's important.
The reason I commented on the clear glaze is that it would/will be hard to re-coat a clear with something " rock-like" and have it come out decent. Will take some experimenting. A good reason to include the broken off piece to use as a test piece beforehand. Just some thoughts for whoever you send it to.

I've gone from deliberate obtuseness to genuine confusion.
Who gets it now?

BTW, Dale, I appreciate the technical stuff.
I'm still ignorant, but now slightly less so

Dale had first dibs. If he don't want it then I do.
A long story on Colin's collection. It would be a good gift but what the heck if Dale wants it then give it to him. \
Maybe one day Colin will tell everyone about his collection.
