Hi Stephen,
You might want to update your profile to reflect your location. I'm sure you'll get more specific results! Regards, Matt

Stephen...
Try Ebay... no kidding! do a search for Trident Maple Chinese Elm Japanese Maple You'll find a lot of them... I found a cork bark Japanese Maple this Spring... 1.5 inch trunk fully corked and healthy.. I paid with shipping a mere 50 bucks! I know if I had found something like that in a specialty shop I would have paid a lot more... or in fact never gotten one in the first place. Good Luck! |

Hi there.
It's been my experience that garden centers have maples and other deciduous trees in the spring after they leaf out. They are usually gone (dead) by this time, at least here in southern California. You may want to try to find a local nursery that may still have them. UPDATE: Oops.. I see that you posted several months ago, in late Spring. My suggestion for a nursery rather than a garden center still holds. Good luck.
